Terms of Service for Les Gaulois (www.lesgaulois.vip)

Last updated: [10/03/2024]

Welcome to Les Gaulois (« we, » « our, » « the site »). By accessing our website at www.lesgaulois.vip (the « Site »), you agree to comply with these Terms of Service (the « Terms »). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our site.

1. Purpose

These Terms govern the use of the Les Gaulois platform, which connects users (« Users » or « You ») with hosts for the short-term rental of various goods, including properties, boats, vehicles, bicycles, and even horses. Hosts can be private individuals or professionals, and Les Gaulois acts as an intermediary, facilitating transactions through its platform.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the site, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use the site or its services. We may update these Terms periodically, and any modifications will be indicated on this page. Please check back regularly.

3. Access to the Site and Services

You can access our site at any time, but we reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to part or all of the site at any time without notice.

4. Registration and Account Creation

To use our services, you must create an account on the site. When registering, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify Les Gaulois immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Hosts: Listing Creation

Hosts, whether private individuals or professionals, are responsible for creating, managing, and updating listings for the goods they offer for rent. These listings may include, but are not limited to, properties (houses, apartments), boats, vehicles (cars, motorcycles, bicycles), or animals (horses). By listing a good, hosts agree to:

  • Provide a complete and accurate description of the goods, including real photos and detailed characteristics.
  • Set the rental price themselves, based on the specifics of the good and market demand.
  • Regularly update their listings to reflect availability, condition, or pricing changes.
  • Comply with all applicable local regulations, including safety, insurance, and short-term rental laws.

Les Gaulois does not systematically verify the information provided in listings and is not responsible for any errors or omissions.

6. Travelers: Booking and Using Goods

Travelers can search for and book goods listed by hosts through our platform. Travelers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when booking, including rental duration, the number of people, and any relevant details.
  • Follow the specific rules set by each host, as stated in the listing.
  • Treat the rented goods with care and adhere to any safety or hygiene requirements set by the host.

Travelers must ensure they have the necessary insurance, especially for vehicles, boats, or animals rented. Les Gaulois strongly recommends travelers secure adequate coverage.

7. Bookings and Payment

Once a booking is confirmed by the host, travelers must pay the total rental amount through our platform. All payments are handled online to ensure transaction security.

  • Payment Methods: Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or other methods available on the platform.
  • Service Fees: Les Gaulois charges a commission on each booking, which will be clearly indicated during the reservation process.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

The cancellation policy depends on the terms set by each host in their listing. Hosts are free to choose the cancellation policy they wish to apply.

  • Traveler Cancellation: Refunds are subject to the cancellation terms specified in the host’s listing.
  • Host Cancellation: If a host cancels a booking, they must inform the traveler and either offer an alternative solution or a full refund, as applicable.

9. Host and Traveler Responsibilities

  • Host Responsibilities: Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and must ensure the goods comply with local laws and are in good working condition. They are also responsible for traveler safety and any necessary insurance.
  • Traveler Responsibilities: Travelers are responsible for using the rented goods correctly and safely. In case of damage, loss, or theft, travelers may be held liable for repair or replacement costs, subject to applicable insurance coverage.

10. Legal Compliance and Taxes

Hosts, whether private individuals or professionals, are responsible for declaring and paying all taxes and fees related to their rental income, including local taxes and any applicable government charges.

11. Intellectual Property

The content of Les Gaulois (texts, images, logos, etc.) is protected by intellectual property rights. Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use of the site’s content is strictly prohibited.

12. Liability

While we strive to maintain the smooth operation of the site, Les Gaulois is not responsible for technical issues, data loss, or inaccuracies in listings. We are not liable for the actions or omissions of hosts or travelers.
